Women In Maritime Operations

Women In Maritime Operations (WIMOs) is dedicated to recruiting, retaining, advancing, and promoting women in the maritime industry through sharing knowledge and continuing education.

What is WIMOs?

WIMOs is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization of women who are actively employed in the maritime industry. Industry employment could include, but may not be limited to, individuals that own, operate, charter, dispatch or provide other types of logistical, safety and emergency management services on the water.

WIMOs Mentoring Program

An additional member benefit includes the WIMOs Mentoring Program! This program was created in March 2023. Its goal is to help each woman interested in a maritime career achieve her desired level of leadership, responsibility, and achievement.

All mentors are WIMOs members. Protégés can be any woman who is contemplating or starting a career in the maritime industry, including WIMOs and non-WIMOs members, female active military and veterans, and female college students studying maritime.
