January is National Human Trafficking Prevention Month, and to mark the occasion, we invite you to join Women in Maritime Operations and Businesses Ending Slavery and Trafficking (BEST) for a special lunchtime webinar titled Ports to Freedom. This Lunch & Learn will be on January 14, 2025 from noon to 1:00 pm PST.

Ports to Freedom is a comprehensive human trafficking prevention training that was specifically created for employees in the maritime industry. The video-based training shares personal experiences of human trafficking survivors to help maritime employees learn how to recognize the indicators of human trafficking in the maritime industry. BEST’s training increased awareness of human trafficking and changed the behaviors that allow human trafficking to remain undetected at maritime facilities. Attendees of this training will learn how to recognize and safely report incidents to help human trafficking victims. Please join us in preventing human trafficking at sea.
